ELBE DOCK KNOWS ITS THREE JURIES - WOMEN PREVAIL THIS YEAR!

In this year's programme we have a total of 25 films nominated for the ED AWARD FOR CENTRAL EUROPEAN SHORT FILM and 15 films nominated for the ED AWARD FOR SCANDINAVIAN SHORT FILM. These films can be viewed in the programme under the tags "CENTRAL" and "NORDIC".

At the same time, of course, there are also documentaries nominated for the PAVEL KOUTECKÝ AWARD in both the short and feature-length sections. The short films will be screened on 4 September at 17:00 in Hraničář and then on 8 September at 16:00 in Dresden (GEH8). The times of the feature documentaries nominated for the Pavel Koutecký Award can also be found in our programme.

THE ELBE DOCK JURY FOR SHORT CENTRAL EUROPEAN FILM

Dagmar Sedláčková is a producer and partner at MasterFilm.

Gudrun Sommer is the director of the DOXS RUHR festival and owner of the consultancy agency fair enough, which deals with sustainability in film and culture.

Rebekka Garrido is a producer and head of post-production with many years of experience in the film industry.

Tereza Czesany Dvořáková currently works as the head of the Department of Production at FAMU, assistant professor at KFS FF UK and lecturer at the Department of Documentary Film at FAMU. She is the (co-)author of scientific and popular science studies and publications, including three books for children on film and television.

 

ELBE DOCK JURY FOR SHORT SCANDINAVIAN FILM

Birgitte Weinberger is the Artistic Director of OFF - Odense International Film Festival, Denmark's oldest film festival and the only short film festival in the country to have won an Oscar, an EFA and a Robert.

Hrönn Marinósdóttir is the founder and director of the Reykjavík International Film Festival (RIFF), which takes place annually at the end of September.

Liisa Nurmela has more than ten years of experience in festivals, film and communications. She has been working with the Gothenburg Film Festival since 2020, where she is currently the Industry Communications Manager.

 

JURY OF THE PAVEL KOUTECKÝ AWARD

Barbora Příkaská is a graduate of the Department of Production at FAMU in Prague, producer of animated films and series.
Michal Kučerák is a researcher, lecturer and curator focusing on art mediation and digital projects.

Sara Polak is an anthropologist, artificial intelligence archaeologist and AI popularizer

Dávid Štumpf combines working for clients with making his own short films, working as a director and mainly as a 2D animator.

Daria Kashcheeva is an independent filmmaker based in Prague and a graduate of FAMU.
