Birgitte Weinberger

Birgitte Weinberger is the artistic director of OFF – Odense International Film Festival; Denmark's oldest film festival and the country's only Oscar, EFA, and Robert-qualifying short film festival.

Since 2009, Birgitte has been leading OFF, during which time the festival has grown from a local event to an international brand with more than 30,000 visitors. Throughout her career, she has watched and evaluated thousands of short films as a festival director and as a jury member at several international film festivals.

Birgitte was born in 1978 and holds a Master’s degree in Danish literature, culture, and communication from the University of Southern Denmark.

She is a member of the advisory board for the Funen film education program 18Frames and serves on the board of Odense Cathedral School. Additionally, she is the director of the arthouse cinema – Cafe biografen and acts as an examiner at the University of Southern Denmark. She is also a sought-after lecturer and panelist.
