Liisa Nurmela

Liisa Nurmela (Estonia/Sweden) has over a decade of experience in festivals, film, and communications.

Since 2020, she has been working with the Göteborg Film Festival, where she currently holds the position of Industry Communications Manager.

Additionally, Liisa is involved with the European Capital of Culture Tartu 2024, focusing on communication and promoting its short film collection, “Arts of Survival”.

She holds an MA in Culture Management and has extensive experience in collaborating with multicultural teams and managing international projects.
