Sara Polak

Sara Polak is a Visiting Research Fellow at the University of Oxford, leads the CCHAOS Research group at the Faculty of Information Technologies of the Czech Technical University, founder of the educational institute Mobilis, and focuses on the digitalization of cultural heritage and the simulation of social complexity/civilizational dynamics.

Originally an archaeologist and evolutionary anthropologist, she has spent her career in the technology sector in the UK and the USA. She is primarily interested in the connection between humanities and modern technologies, such as artificial intelligence. She believes that humanity can only fulfill its potential and one day survive, for example on Mars, through education and an interdisciplinary approach. Sara is Forbes 30Under30 and Elle Woman’s Awards recipient.

She loves big dogs, roasted duck with red cabbage and Carlsbad dumplings,  historical trivia, and Monty Python.
