Jiří Kára's Wedding

This amateur film is a record of a wedding ceremony in 2000, during which Jiří Kára and Blanka Divišová said their "I do". This authentic glimpse into the world of the "bottom ten thousand" has gained a large audience, especially on YouTube, and thanks to the presentation of the complete non-conformity of the participants before, during and after the ceremony, it now enjoys a cult status. Considering the fate of the wedding guests, this footage can also be seen as a tragicomic testimony to the lives of Prague's alcoholic and drug-addicted fellow citizens.
