Synopsis

Doomer watches digital content on his phone in his room. He watches a techno optimistic explainer, a motivational fitness video and a positive affirmative meditation. He's been through it all, he's believed it all already, but it turns out he too is just a nonfunctional and simplistic view of the world.

Matěj Martinec is a designer and animator who studies at CAS FAMU in Prague. His studies of film were preceded by motion design studies in close contact with contemporary art. By combining comparative narrative techniques with synthetic images, he reflects on phenomena such as labour, the contradictions of the present and the global crises.
