Story Editing Workshop

16. 7. 2024

The story editing workshop is designed for 6 emerging V4 screenwriters (minimum: 1 CZ, 1 SK, 1 PL, 1 HU) in the field of short film production. It will take place in the framework of the ELBE DOCK IFF. Projects will be submitted in advance via Open Call. The lecturer and the guarantor of this workshop will select 6 projects ( a mix of short films, mini-series typically for online distribution and audiovisual projects related to film language). The screenwriters will go through an intensive 3-day workshop. The result will be a revised draft script that elaborates on the themes and individual characters of the selected projects. In addition to this workshop, there will be a Masterclass that will focus on the use of artificial intelligence and scriptwriting. The project also involves a project supervisor who guides the students in all phases, from the first communication to the ongoing workshop at IFF Zubroffka. Workshops for V4 students are free of charge. The workshop has 3 phases. The first phase takes place before the start of the workshop, when the students prepare the materials (not only the script, but also the themes, character breakdown, etc.) according to the lecturer's assignment. The second phase takes place in person at the ELBE DOCK festival. The third phase of the project takes place after the workshop, in the form of online individual consultations.
